Q: Is Unveiled open to the public?

A: Yes! The School of Music’s Holtschneider Performance Center exists not only to serve the DePaul community, but Chicagoans and visitors alike. This brand new home for the best in classical music and jazz is open for the enjoyment of all.

Q: How much does it cost to attend?

A: Performances and events throughout Unveiled are each ticketed separately. Some events are free with a range of prices up to $45. A few select events have special premium seating opportunities as well.

Q: How can I get tickets?

A: Tickets go on sale September 4, 2018 and are available by clicking on the “Schedule” menu above and navigating through to your desired performance. You can also call the box office at 773-325-5200 and place an order over the phone or visit the box office in person, inside the Holtschneider Performance Center during normal box office hours: Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Q: How do I get there?

A: The Holtschneider Performance Center is conveniently located on the east side of DePaul’s Lincoln Park Campus. You can read more about driving directions, public transit options and parking information in the Directions and Parking section of the website.

Q: When should I arrive?

A: All performances will start at the precise time stated online and late seating will not be allowed until a break in the music. As such, please plan to arrive no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled start of your event.

Q: Can I take pictures?

A: While we welcome photos throughout the Holtschneider Performance Center, photos and videos are strictly prohibited during all performances, lectures, panel discussions, films and events unless noted otherwise in the concert program or as indicated by lobby signage.

Q: Can I bring my children?

A: Yes, we welcome children so that they can experience some of the world’s greatest musicians and be inspired by current music students who represent the next generation of virtuosos! When it comes to children, however, please use your best judgement with regard to length of the performance and your child’s comfort with particular cognizance for your fellow audience members.

Q: Is the Holtschneider Performance Center accessible to patrons with special needs?

A: Yes, the building is fully ADA-compliant with elevators and wheelchair lifts for those patrons with mobility issues. We also offer assisted listening devices for those with a hearing impairment. Q: I’ve lost my tickets. What do I do?

A: Our box office can reprint tickets for you at no additional charge. Simply email or call the box office at 773-325-5200 and request a reprint. We can either email you a new set of print-at-home tickets, or hold your tickets for you at Will Call to be picked-up the day of your performance.

Q: I can no longer attend my ticketed performance. Can I exchange for a different event later in the festival?

A: Unfortunately, all sales are final and we do not allow refunds or exchanges (unless exchanging for different seats within the same performance, based on availability). If you are no longer able to attend your ticketed performance and would like to donate your tickets back to the School of Music for a tax benefit, please email or call the box office at 773-325-5200.

Q: Will concessions be on sale and can I bring them with me into the hall?

A: Yes, our atrium café sells snacks and non-alcoholic drinks before all performances and at scheduled intermissions. Beer and wine will be available for patrons 21 years of age and over during most evening performances. While all beverages will be allowed into the concert halls, food must remain in the lobby areas.
